Dave Cabral

Dave Cabral, Entrepreneur and Businessman, is the founder and President of Galt Alliance Films.
Mr. Cabral has over 25 years experience in the Film and Entertainment Industry with expertise in finance, and notable involvement in film production, accounting, stakeholder negotiations, project management and team leadership. Driven by seeking out opportunities where he can maximize his skills and creativity and gain the rewards of hard work.

Mr. Cabral gained financial expertise in managing manufacturing and retail companies’ assets of $TT Millions. Shifting these skills into the entertainment industry raised equity and debt financing for Galt Alliance Films, which was near impossible in a very latent Trinidad and Tobago film market. He orchestrated and successfully negotiated the capital investment of Galt Alliance Films through venture capital, facilitated by the Venture Capital Investment Program (VCIP) & Clico Investment Bank (CIB) for the production of his first international feature film. Following this, he quickly focused his energies, business resilience and prowess to negotiate debt financing for his second international feature film.

With the guidance and leadership of Mr. Cabral, Galt Alliance Films was one of the first companies to successfully submit and receive a production rebate of 35% for the international feature film “Contract Killers” in 2008 and “Limbo” in 2009, through The Production Expenditure Rebate incentive from the Ministry of Trade in the island of Trinidad and Tobago.

Complementing his financial expertise is Mr. Cabral’s film experience, which began with a minor acting role, sound operator and Music producer for the film Men of Grey II - Flight of the Ibis (1996). In 1999 he began furthering his knowledge in all aspects of the Entertainment Industry, with special focus on Film, from Financing, pre-production to distribution. Since then, his portfolio has grown to overseeing all feature film development and production for Galt Alliance Films. His feature film credits include Executive Producer / producer of two international feature films, Backlash (2006) and Contract Killers (2008) and Co-Producer of a Norwegian feature film entitled Limbo (2010) produced by S.F. Norge.
